Biography
Brandie has been involved in the arts for much of her life. Enjoy her personal and evocative paintings of the Canadian outdoors. Brandie's inspiration comes from seeing the details in everyday outdoor experiences and bringing those to life with sweeping lines and vibrant colour. Living in Calgary, Alberta gives her the perfect home base to explore all that Alberta has to offer: prairies, lakes, mountains and foothills all surround her beautiful hometown.
Brandie has a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Calgary, and a master's degree in Creative Art Therapy from Concordia University. She works as a counsellor and maintains a regular studio practice. In addition to creating art for individuals, Brandie loves public art! Most recently she painted a Biodiversity Mural for the Calgary Zoo/Wilder Institute, and received a public art micro-grant to paint an outdoor mural at the Tuscany Community Garden.
