Biography
Artist's Statement
Chao Liu is a painter and poet. He is a member of the Oil Painters of America, member of the Portrait Society of America, member of the Pastel Society of America, member of the American Impressionist Society, member of the National Oil & Acrylic Painters' Society, member of the Society of Watercolor Artists (SWA).
Chao Liu was born in China in 1968. He was awarded the O1 Visa -- Individuals with Extraordinary Ability or Achievement, and went to the USA for artistic creation. Chao Liu's works have been exhibited in several national exhibitions in China and the USA, and were awarded many awards, among which three digital artistic works were awarded the Outstanding Digital Award of the United States. Chao Liu's artworks and poems have been publicized and reported by famous media in China, and he was rated as a Good Author and Excellent Creator in the realm of art and was awarded the title of the Artist with the Most Valuable and Collectible Works in 2023.
Being an artist, he said: "I only record the touch of life. Art is my lifestyle, oil painting is my artistic expression and poetry is my perception of life."
