Biography
I have been a full time fine art painter since 2005. I have a desire and passion to paint all types of representational subject matter using a variety of techniques. I consider myself to be a self taught painter having never taken a painting class or workshop. I constantly strive to become a better painter through practice and experimentation.
I also have a passion for painting abstracts because of the freedom to create whatever I can imagine. I love the fact that there are no rules. I make conscious decisions about the design, color, composition, values, and texture to make each painting better.
My representational and abstract paintings can now be found in many private and corporate collections across the United States. I currently live in Tulsa, OK with my lovely wife Cheryl, my son Max, and daughter Venecia.
Abstract Artist Statement
An emotional experience is what I hope the viewer will have while looking at my abstract paintings. Many collectors cannot put into words why they connect with one of my paintings but I love the fact that they do connect with either their head or their heart. I’m always curious to hear what viewers think they see in my work.
