FASO Collector Recommends: Dana Mosby

Biography
Dana Mosby was born and reared in Columbus, Mississippi, a small historic town in the northeastern part of the state. As a high school student Dana enjoyed art classes, creative writing, and theatre. She earned a BFA from Mississippi University for Women and became certified to teach art.
Even though her teaching career consumed much of her time and energy, Dana took workshops and practiced what she learned, developing confidence and her personal style. Her students learned quickly that when Ms. Mosby attended a workshop, they would be learning something new as well. Now retired from teaching in public schools, she spends time working in her studio, teaching, and painting around the area with different groups of plein air painters.
Dana lives in Prairieville, Louisiana with her husband and two very spoiled cats. She is a member of Associated Women in the Arts, Art Guild of Louisiana, Degas Pastel Society, and the New Orleans Art Association.
Dana shows in local and regional exhibits and continues to teach private lessons. Her work can be seen at www.danamosby.com.
