Biography
The more I paint, the more I want to paint. Seeing something new come out of an idea is gratifying, even when it doesn’t turn out as intended. There is no end to learning or to challenges. There are also endless opportunities to see more around me in a different way. It makes my life richer.
I spent many years in IT as a systems analyst mainly supporting Finance departments. I’ve taken long detours from the art journey - getting a computer science degree, working full-time, raising sons, attending lots of ballgames - but I always did keep art in there at least a little. I know painting has helped me through a few difficult times along the way.
I grew up on a farm in rural Minnesota where do-it-yourself was a way of life. Now, after many years of living in a metropolitan area, I’m back to rural life in western Wisconsin. It feels really good.
