FASO Collector Recommends: Giannis Varsamoudis
Biography
Giannis Varsamoudis is a visual artist based in Alexandroupolis, Greece, specializing in painting and drawing. His work spans a diverse range of subjects, including landscapes, portraiture, and the human figure. Drawn to its luminosity, transparency, and fluidity, Varsamoudis uses watercolor as his primary medium of expression.
He has exhibited his work extensively in both solo and group exhibitions across Greece and internationally, including prominent shows in Madrid and Rome. His artistic practice has been recognized with numerous distinctions in international painting competitions.
In addition to his creative output, he is deeply involved in art education, conducting specialized workshops in watercolor, charcoal, and pastel. These programs are designed for a wide range of participants, including children, teenagers, and adults, focusing on both technical mastery and artistic development.
He is an active member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece (EETE).
