Biography
For as long as I can remember, I have sought out ways to bring calm and quiet into my world. Each of my pieces are visual expressions of my search and ultimate discovery of an intimate, eternal, and internal peace.
My earliest memory of connecting with this deep abiding power was in second grade when I was given some clay. As I formed this unformed clay in my hands, I remember feeling a calm quietness flow through me, and around me. This moment awakened me to the power of peace and expression through art.
In my mid-twenties, I began painting. I found great solace and deep healing as I expressed my emotions on large canvases.
I use layers of pastels, acrylics, and other materials to visually communicate the textural and multidimensional complexity of my life experiences.
As I continue to listen and follow this spirit of peace, my work has become more and more serene. My deepest hope is for you to experience this same quiet stillness in your own heart and home as you enjoy my paintings.
