Biography
As a retired registered nurse I was devoting lots of time to various creative endeavors and rediscovering a love of painting. I started out doing large acrylic abstracts which morphed into landscapes and a desire to try other mediums. Just before Covid hit and the subsequent lock down, I broke my non-dominant wrist. This gave me the excuse (?) to really take a deeper dive into experimenting with oils. I became a member of an online art community and have not stopped painting since.
I love the amazing results one can achieve with oil paints. The light and glow of a perfectly placed brushstroke is a happy result of constant practice and experimentation with this versatile medium. I'm a perpetual student and therefore a work in progress; I guarantee that my work will continue to evolve, enchant and surprise! Thank you for visiting my gallery of works. I sincerely hope that my art may speak to you and transmit the joy that I find in creating it.
