BoldBrush Recommends: Louise Charles-Saarikoski

Biography
Louise originally from the UK, works from her studio in Helsinki, Finland. She takes commissions for custom paintings, and her work can be found in homes around the world.
She paints in a realistic style, however since adopting a rescue dog from Spain, a Galgo Espanol, she realised she had more to say in her art and likes to experiment and create more abstract work these days to convey the story of the plight of these mistreated and abused animals. Her current rescue dog and muse is a black greyhound (galgo Ingles) also from Spain.
“A greyhound is tall, slender and elegant. Built for speed with a lean aerodynamic body and long powerful legs. A very deep chest and tucked up waist. Very beautiful to look at and a constant inspiration to paint, whether lying on the sofa or at a flat out sprint. I never tire of painting them.”
Original artworks are for sale on this website and fine art prints available at SaarikoskiArt on Etsy >>>
Louise posts regularly on Instagram @SaarikoskiArt, where you will also find her faithful hound @galgo_yoga.
Studio Address: Solvikinkatu 10 B (street level), 00990 HELSINKI, Finland.
