Biography
I grew up in beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada, and although I moved to Ontario Canada as a young adult, I find that the beauty and unique character of the Island stays with me and has an influence in my painting and my perspective on life.
As a painter, I am attracted to subjects that have a history to them; everyday objects from the past that have a story behind them, even if that story is not fully told, they have existed and touched the lives of people over many decades, and in some cases over a century. I am especially interested in capturing subjects that have a reflective shine or glow, which affords me the challenge of representing that three- dimensional interaction with light on a two-dimensional surface.
