Biography
Lou is a contemporary abstract artist who explores life through
The interpretation of what she sees.
It is her Interpretation.
She paints because it brings her purpose, joy and allows her to discover her world through the brush.
She cooks and interprets her domestic realm.
She gardens and portrays her flora and fauna.
She travels near and far for ideas to bring to her canvas.
She paints those things that bring her joy in their interpretation and inspire her soul.
She paints
Brightly, abstractly
On paper, wood and canvas,
Using Acrylic, mixed media, a pinch of imagination, a spoonful of joy and handfuls of gratitude.
Lou Goodwin is a full time contemporary artist working in acrylic and mixed media. She brings an abstracted and whimsical approach to her subject matter. She came to painting later in live but has always been interested and committed to art and craft in many forms. Her working career was spent as a Registered Nurse in the small NW Ontario town where she grew up. Painting found her after she retired while living aboard a boat. Lou has taken many courses and has shown her work at various art shows in different locations in Canada and the US.
Lou is a member and a director of the Lake of the Woods Arts Community, takes parts in many online and offline art courses, and attempts to paint daily.
