Biography
Michael Rossi is a self taught artist who became interested in oil painting at the age of twelve. After completing high school, Michael continued to work on his own, learning different techniques to enhance his paintings. In his mid twenties, he focused on a career and family while finding a creative outlet in landscape photography. Michael began to paint again in his late thirties, taking a particular interest in painting en plein air.
Michael’s work is heavily influenced by his travel throughout the Northeast, some of his favorite painting locations being the Adirondacks, the White Mountains, and the Maine coast. He continues to learn and hone his techniques with the aim of sharing his experiences of travel through his artwork.
Michael is a juried member of the North Shore Art Association located in Gloucester, Massachusettes. Michael grew up in northern New Jersey, where he currently resides.
