Biography
An active artist and nature-lover in my youth, after a decades-long hiatus, I recently returned to painting. When I’m not practicing painting, I practice law. As often as possible, I try to capture beauty in paint and joyfully bring something lovely into the world. To ensure I provide my best work and continue to improve, I regularly supplement my art education by taking workshops from painters I admire. And to validate that I’m continuing to improve, I enter juried art exhibitions and other events as time allows. You can see the workshops I’ve attended, shows I’ve been a part of, and recognitions my paintings have received here.
My Paintings
I generally paint flowers, landscapes, and other natural subjects. I paint in oil on linen or cotton canvas, using archival, professional materials. If my paintings bring joy to your world, I want them to last more than a lifetime. I aim to incorporate loose brushwork, rich colors, and strong design.
At this time, I offer framed, original artworks for purchase online and occasionally through gallery shows and other events. You may find details regarding purchase by clicking on any painting listed in my portfolio, available at the “Works” tab above. These pieces are sold framed, shipped in secure shipping boxes, and are ready to hang in your space. The price of these pieces ranges from $400 to $2200, depending on the size and complexity of the piece.
In addition to my framed and fully finished pieces, from time-to-time I offer some of my small oil sketches at online auction through Daily Paintworks, available by clicking on the “Auction” tab above or at the DPW icon at the bottom of this page. I sell these pieces at week-long auctions starting at $35, unframed, or at a buy-it-now price of $100 available before the first bid is placed.
