FASO Collector Recommends: Ritu Bajaj
Biography
Ritu is a Realism inspired Representational artist based in New Jersey, USA. She aspires and strives to create artwork that influences people in a meaningful and memorable manner. Her paintings and drawings are inspired from her day to day experiences and places she visits.
Ritu embarked on her passionate odyssey as an artist while she was still in college. Though not professionally trained at the time, she inspired awe and amazement by transforming mundane two-dimensional biology sketches into realistic, three-dimensional representations. Her passion for becoming a full time artist led her to start learning realism techniques in an atelier. She trained extensively in traditional painting and glazing techniques of the 19th century artists.
She has participated in several juried exhibitions and done commissioned work, her paintings attract crowds and appreciation alike. In fact, her painting was selected for publication for book review by Harper Magazine. Her work was also selected by artwanted.com for their 2024 landscape calendar.
In 2025, Ritu was honored with the Alden Bryan Memorial Medal Award for Traditional Landscape at the Allied Artists of America’s 112th Exhibition.
