Biography
I am an artist based in South East England. I create figurative paintings that stem from the sense of connection we find with others. Exploring form and expression to capture a feeling that resonates on a subconscious level.
I started painting in 2019, following a period of recovery from an accident in 2016 that left me housebound and struggling with chronic nerve pain, FND and PTSD. The accident completely changed my life...I lost the ability to work, to leave the house, and to do nearly everything I had previously done. I really felt like I had lost myself after not finding solutions for my ongoing pain.
Through painting I found new purpose...each of my portraits has helped me find my way back to myself. I still have pain, but it's not what defines me.
My art journey so far has been an adventure, an exploration of many styles and genres.
I've chosen figurative work as my primary focus to develop, along with the challenge of combining elements of realism and abstraction.
