Biography
My career as an artist began in 2011. I paint with a thriving community of artists on the western edge of Fort Worth, Texas. I own and operate Horseshoe Trail Studio.
I paint scenes of the American west, places I love, animals I love, and people I love. I split my time between our home in Texas and our cabin in Colorado. Time spent in these places allows me to paint the Texas landscape and culture as well as the beauty of the San Luis Valley in Colorado.
My source material is always from important places and events in my life, giving me a deep connection to the composition. My goal is for the viewer to feel as though they have stepped into the landscape, find respite from the daily grind, and for a brief moment absorb the peace of the natural world.
In April 2023 I was honored to be admitted as an Associate Member of Women Artists of the West.
