Biography
I have been painting for numerous years, especially since my retirement. My early training in art was from an art school located in Nyack NY. I have an associates degree in respiratory therapy. ( A far cry from the art world!) I worked as a respiratory therapist for many years until retirement due to a kidney transplant. (Successful I might add !)
I paint intuitively. I’m not sure where most of my creative ideas emerge from. I’ll approach a painting with specific colors in mind, and then it takes off from there. Lately I have discovered oil and cold wax. This is an exciting medium with many challenges, but one I thoroughly enjoy.
My goal in abstraction is to allow the viewer to come away with a sense of emotional attachment to the painting. I try to let the viewer interpret many things in the work. If my painting draws you in for a closer look I’ve been successful.
