Biography
Tiina is a landscape artist based in California whose work is deeply influenced by her Finnish heritage and a lifelong connection to nature. Born and raised in Finland, Tiina spent her childhood exploring the abundant natural beauty of a land rich with lakes, rivers, and the Baltic Sea. This early immersion in nature fostered a profound affinity for water, which continues to be a central theme in her artwork.
Tiina's artistic journey began in drawing and evolved over decades of experimentation with various mediums, including charcoal, pastels, ink, and acrylics. However, the fluidity and unpredictability of watercolors captured her heart during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. Tiina is now a Santa Clara Valley Watercolor Association member and actively participates in local art centers and collectives in the San Francisco Bay Area.
